This is where I can showcase some of the art projects I have completed, am working on, and want to create. The background comes from a tray I made, actually, it was the first mosaic project I ever did.

Each image links to a larger view of the project, so click to see the larger piccies!

This tray was originally white with dark pink edges and a green and blue pattern across the bottom. I painted it pink, feathered the light pink up over the dark pink edges then mosaic'd it. This was my first major undertaking with glass tiles. Also one of the few to be grouted.

I made this out of a spare piece of wood for my desk. My initials are RIB and I think it came out quite nicely. Right now it's nailed up over my computer desk. The orange and blue beads around it are from Sugar Bowl beads draped arcross the plaque.

I made this frame specifically for this picture of Nicholas. Beautiful (ungrouted) frame for the cutest little boy in the entire world. Yes, I am fully biased to that fact! *grin*

These are 3 rectangular jars I got on clearance at Michaels. It took about a week to do all 3 since there were sides to dry prior to gluing on any more tiles. Only 2 have attained grouting.

I got this on clearance from Target, painted it green and went to town with my tiles. Around the heart opening, I glued some pink star-shaped tiles as well. I'm still deciding where to place this one... once it gets grouted, that is.

This bloody bowl took about 2 months to tile. I had to work in 3" x 4" spaces and hope the tiles didn't slide around too much. With a round surface, it can be a real bitch to keep everything in place. I had to apply glue, wait about 20 minutes, then quickly affix the tiles. To keep them from slipping, I had to prop the bowl up for another 30-40 minutes. It was a real pain in the arse, but looks so cool. It will look much better once grouted and sitting on my dining room table.

I saw this craft card in Michaels and decided I could do it... and I could. The picture on the left was the craft card. The picture on the right is what I made, when the glue was still drying and wood still being nailed in... the finished project hangs proudly on the wall right past the downstairs bathroom. The glass pieces are added touches to make it mine. =)

This was the first pillow I made using the hemming tape. I messed up the first few times and kept cutting the fabric more and more. Once I figured it out, I had to figure out how to stuff it then sewed it right up. Mia likes it, it's just her perfect size to lie on in front of the glass doors.

I made this pillow out of a lovely piece of green and white floral fabric, using only an iron and some hemming tape. I tied the ribbons on to make it look like a gift, or a firecracker. It's comfy!

My newest creative outlet will be knitting. This is the pattern I am attempting to make. First the scarf, then the hat... once I learn how to cast on, that is! The yarn on the right is what I am using. It is Lion Brand Yarn Homespun, Corinthian 345.

This was my most prized piece of beaded artwork. It is a phone cozy specifically created for my cell phone totally out of beads. I love this thing!

This is a matching necklace and ring. Well, the ring is made of the same pink beads in the necklace. Also in the necklace are green beads, hematite beads and a loverly heart clasp.
